Birthday Surprise

Ok...so I am a little slow trying to catch up this blog...haha but with the mixture of school and work and everything else, things get crazy! So not much happened after the honeymoon! Just right back to school and back into real life. Novemer was Steve's birthday and it was so fun to plan! He used to have the worst phone in the world! it would turn off all the time for no reason and it was hard to get a hold of him that way. Well he was very frustrated by it. In October I believe? Or beginning of November? I'm not positive but I think that's when the new iPhone 4s came out and he REALLY envied it! He kept telling me how much he wished that was his phone instead of his awful one.

Well at this point, we had been discussing phone plans and if I was switching to Verizon with him or if he was switching to AT&T with me. We finally decided to stick with AT&T because it was cheaper, etc. Well, I decided I would get him the iPhone 4s for his birthday! And I wanted it to be a TOTAL surprise! I also wanted to throw him a surprise birthday party. So I arranged all the plans for the birthday party with his friends behind his back, and i bought the iPhone. I really LOVE surprises, especially giving them to other people. So I wrapped the iPhone in a small bog, then put it in a bigger one and wrapped it, then a bigger one and so on and so forth until it was in this huge box! Haha I loved it!!

So, luckily his birthday was on Saturday, so I started the day waking up early and surprising him with his favorite breakfast: Pancakes. :) I also made sausage and eggs to make it complete. He loved it! Then, because I knew he would want to play with it all day, I had him open his present! He had NO idea what it was :) boxes and wrapping paper were everywhere and he still didn't figure everything out until the last second when he pulled it out of the last box. I was jumping up and down and I LOVED his reaction! He was SOO surprised! He couldn't believe it! I REALLY wish I had taken pictures for all of this but I was a dope and forgot. So then for lunch we went to Kabuki because I knew he would like it and I worked there at the time and so we got our lunch at 40% off plus it was lunch time so it was cheap! (Also one of his favorite things, not spending money! :))

Well here is the bummer part...I really did have to work later that night. :( I was so sad that I had to leave him home alone on his birthday, but at the same time it was a perfect segue into planning his surprise party. I played the "I feel awful leaving you here while I go to work" card and he totally bought it. I originally was supposed to work from 4-10 and so I told him not to expect me until late. Well I talked to the manager and he let me off at 8. I was so happy! I told our friends to meet me at the restaurant there and then we all headed back to the house together. We all went to the front and I knocked on the door to confuse him. He opened it and there we were! Me and the friends! SURPRISE!!! He was SO surprised again! He loved it. Especially because he doesn't get to see his friends very often. It was so fun to play games and just talk and eat food! He told me it was the best birthday he ever had! I just love him! :) I wish I had pictures! :(
